The "Scottish" Deerhound
The Deerhound has been a recognised breed since the mid 1800's, and has as such been recognised as a Scottish breed. This is reflected by inclusion of the breed in the Scottish Breeds Canine Club and the Hound Association of Scotland Championship Shows all held under the auspices of the Kennel Club. However the origins of this wonderful hound are not recognised in its name in the United Kingdom.

More info about the online petition to re-designate the breed currently registered as the Deerhound to the Scottish Deerhound in recognition of its iconic status as the only native Scottish hound.

As expected, we invite you to our spring walk. It will be organized by our member Klaus Klein.
Due to the elections, we chose Saturday, June 6.
We invite you to come at 10:30 am.
Address of the day: Klaus Klein - Karthausstrasse 42 - D-54666 Irrel
First we will do a walk of about 1:30. Then Klaus will propose grills and drinks for 12,00 Eur/person.
In order to organize everything, thank you to tell us who and how many people will participate. Deadline: before Monday, June 1.
